The Journey
From walking the city with visitors every day to building a company around the way he believes Mumbai should be experienced.
Learning Mumbai, one guest at a time
Shoheb began as a guide, and for seven years his classroom was the city itself: the Gateway of India at the Colaba waterfront, the Victorian arches of CSMT, the lights of Marine Drive after dark, the boat ride out to Elephanta Island.
Every day with visitors taught him something no guidebook can. People do not only want to see Mumbai. They want to understand it, at a pace that feels like theirs, with someone they can trust beside them.
A better way to see the city
He saw how much a trip improves when one person takes responsibility for the whole day: the car, the guide, the timing, the answers to every question. Travellers should not have to chase any of it.
Building Mumbai Footprints
So Shoheb took the step from guiding for others to building his own company. Mumbai Footprints was founded on a clear promise: every tour is private, every guest is looked after by an expert local guide, and every detail is handled by a concierge who is always reachable.
Founder & Director
Today Shoheb leads Mumbai Footprints from Versova, Andheri West. The company offers heritage tours, Elephanta Caves, Bollywood, Marine Drive by night and more, and the standard he set as a guide is now the standard of the whole team.
